A voracious reader since a young age, S.A. Scarlet has travelled through time and space on
many a fantastical journey. Here are some words from the author on just such a topic.
“It’s strange how simple words on a page can move us so. They can take us to the brink
of despair and desolation, where darkness has a palpable weight and menace. And it is only in
such a place where we can truly appreciate the value of sacrifice, love and courage. I can’t tell
you how many times I’ve been broken by a story and wept for the loss I experienced amidst
tear-stained pages. I can’t tell you what magic I’ve experienced when I’ve taken up a sword,
sorcery, or a futuristic piece of arms and armor to employ them against a great evil. It is only
within the pages of books where one can experience such things, and so I’ve decided to create
a few of my own.”
